MINI 0807 with GPS, Super capacitor and Parking Guard function.:
The Mini 0807 dashcam is yet another new release in the Mini series of dash cameras. The mini series dashcams continue to evolve as the factory tries to improve on performance reliability and improve features.
Mini 0807 now represents some of the biggest changes in specification over the current range of Mini 0805, Mini0806 and Mini 0826.
Mini 0807 is the first Mini dashcam to introduce a super capacitor to the range. Super Capacitors are more stable and more reliable under heat stress, making them far more suitable for Australia’s extreme conditions. They should also be for more durable and long lasting than battery dashcams within the tough in car environment.
Mini 0807 also introduces a Sony Image sensor to the mini series for the first time. Whilst only supporting up to True HD 1080P @ 30FPS the Sony IMX322 Image sensor has a reputation for supporting very good day video and excellent night video as well. The Sony sensor should see the mini series producing even better all round video quality.
Mini 0807 now brings back the twin Micro SD card slots with a fully functioning card switching, this function was widely marketed on the Mini 0806 but to date has never worked on that model. The the mini 0807 dashcam now supports up to 2 x 64gb micro sd cards giving it massive storage capacity and making it ideal for drivers that spend long periods of time on the road each day or even tourers that want to keep a record of their trip.
The Mini 0807 brings some other new features to the Mini dashcam series as well. The dashcam is now supplied with an OBD 11 power cable. The OBD 11 plugs into your OBD (On board diagnostics) port and allows you to power dashcamera from there, freeing up your cigarette lighter for other accessories. The OBD 11 power cable supports the new parking guard function which gives you incident recording when your vehicle is parked. Again this function never worked on previous Mini series dashcams. In addition an optional hardwire kit is now not required to support parking mode.Dashcamscentral highly recomends checking with your cars manufacturer before using the OBD port to power your dashcam.
New user interface with a single button to lock down incident files and a new scroll wheel for easier set up and use of menu functions.

In Our Opinion.
We have been waiting a long time to see a Mini Series dashcam with a super capacitor. Now with the combination of super capacitor, Sony image sensor, twin card capacity and supporting parking guard via OBD 11 power cable, the Mini 0807 is the next generation of Minis series dash camera. Add in GPS and Optional CPL filter for under $200 Australian dollars then we believe the new Mini 0807 is an excellent value Dashcam.
